Charming chart of Corsica. Showing town and harbor plan, with soundings, anchorages, rocks, shoals, fortifications, lighthouses. Joseph Roux (1725-1793) was a Marseilles hydrographer who both published and as well manufactured and sold chart, navigating instruments and related nautical equipment. At about the mid-century, he received the right to be called "Hidrographe du Roy," and in 1764 published a series of 12 chart of the Mediterranean; he simultaneously published this smaller format atlas of 65 harbor chart.
